Thanks again for the tips @GraHal, ironically the whole Auto Systems list is unresponsive and I can’t scroll through them? (I can move the side cursor but the names of my systems doesn’t move). The platform won’t quit so I had to force quit it. I’m used to this, but tired of it…
There is an export button, where is that please? I actually copied them all over to Text Edit. That way I have a permanent copy which apparently it seems you night need in this day and age judging by the harsh treatment of MaxT. Also pretty pointless as:
1) He could worth far more than his IG account would ever suggest so IG lose at the end of the day or
2) He can simply open an account in a friends name, use another laptop and trade it “for them” from a different s/ware I.P., not that I’d imagine he would want anything to do with IG after his horrible experience.
IG have offered excellent service in the past with people like Perry Martin (when I was full time trading), I hope that level of dedication and professionalism is still there when I return?
Also the idea that a customer could just switch everything off (after their account is terminated) whilst all their intellectual property is still on the PRT servers just makes IG and PRT’s behaviour extraordinary. That is a point actually. Do we own the intellectual property/code or do IG/PRT?
I guess it goes to show how the environment has changed since the crash and the level of competition and how cut throat it is, especially with the idiots over at the EU, ESMA cutting into IG’s (et. al.) profits, as they’ve literally legislated to increase volatility and exacerbate client position liquidations in adverse market conditions.
And on the subject of inefficient regulatory frameworks… If we had a Robin Hood transaction tax on the City, at least that way – because there are unprecedented levels of debt and risk out there – we wouldn’t have to bail them out (yet) again. Anyway I’m digressing, in conclusion and this goes to say, not just about trading and errant s/ware, but with anything is life:
Expect the best, prepare for the worst…
