Sorry if you misread the tone. I was just trying to point out why it is that there is a lack of enthusiasm from everyone to share and discuss their own winning strategies. Personally I don’t share strategies as if I feel something has value from my own effort then I don’t give it away for free. I don’t however mind throwing the odd fishing lesson into the forums if I think someone might benefit from it – I just don’t give fish away. I personally have coded many indicators and shared some of them as they might assist someone in creating their own strategies based on their own interpretation of those indicators.
Generally if a strategy is shared on here by someone it is in its early stages of development and most likely unproven in forward testing. Nicolas tries not to allow obviously curve fitted strategies into the library and so usually they are unproven interesting ideas that make the final cut.
If you have forward tested all the strategies in the library then it would be great if you could start a topic with screen shots of all the forward test results – that would save everyone else from repeating what you have already worked so hard at as importing, setting charts up for correct time zones etc for each strategy is a lot of work that your results could save everyone else from having to repeat.
