    Hi all,

First of all i would like say thanks to those who have contributed and is contributing to these forums as it gives one the possibility learn and achieve the goal we newbies (I) set!

I am new to the community and systematic trading. I would like achieve my aim which is learning to build systems in order to:

    • Swing trade and then continue to day trading systems (if this is the incorrect way of going about it pls let me know).
    • Is there some direction for how to achieve above? Or should I just read all strategies posted in the forum and try to understand them?

Any guidance or point of direction is much appreciated!

Looking forward to chat with you traders.

    Regards,

    Aram

At first everyone is eager to know as much as possible about everything. As soon as anyone develops his skills and knowledge it’s common to drop something that does not match one’s attitude and devote to something that best suit his goals and makes him feel more at ease with trading, be it scalping, intraday trading, swing trading or automated trading or any combination of them.

You should acquire knowledge by reading some good books, maybe taking courses, working on demo accounts and also reading this forum may be of help, even if you don’t like automated trading.

Should you read all code posted here? If you have time for sure it helps, but you can narrow the range of what you might need to read by searching this forum. Just enter a chosen word (like ROSS or WILDER or RSI or TREND) in the search box that appears whenever you hover your avatar with your mouse (upper right corner) and you’ll get plenty of links to topics related to that word or words you entered.

Should you be interested in something but can’t find anything that can be of help, just ask in the correct support forum and someone will, sooner or later, try to help you at the best of his klnowledge.

In the meantime have good readings and a rewarding trading!

    Roberto
