    Dears,

someone knows where to find the version of ADX without Wilder smooth? I noted that in Prorealtime is only present the version smoothed.

    Thanks

You’ll find a version calculated with EMA instead of WMA in this thread: https://www.prorealcode.com/topic/help-with-code-please-2/

Is it what you are looking for?

I don’t know if this is the version…I’ll check it.

To be clear, my question rises because, on another trading station of other broker, I always used the limit of 40 for ADX value to separate between weak and stronger trends. In Prorealtime version I see that such limit is set at 17, and such version is with Wilder smooth. I also made a comparison for the same Index instrument, with the 2 “different” versions of ADX, and the signals are very different.

Based on this observation, I thought that the version without smooth is that one with limit set at 40…

I hope someone can clarify this differences to me.

    Thanks

I don’t think that modifying the way the value are smoothed would change the scale of the DMI. I think I know what you are talking about, different scale for this same indicator.. Maybe these topics where I found other DMI codes would be more suitable? :
