btw your coding/poetry analogy is remarkable in positive sense, potentially usefull. some day in the past I realized that (at least my) trading is possibly like fishing (which I do a lot as well). but I like your analogy with poems when it comes to coding/designing a system, and this is what I make of it: if one codes “ballads” it’s almost a guarantee of failure. if one codes “haikus” one might have chance of success in trading. it’s not everything but it’s a lot about simplicity and hence robustness, and it’s not necessarily obvious / intuitive what “simplicity” in fact means.
