    No point not being helpful, I just sent below

    Clearly when I say … the most recent back-up … I didn’t mean that as that would be last night!

    The back up that needs to be restored is the one for Saturday night as that was the last time I saw the AutoTrading window all good (before the PRT cock-up overnight Sat / Sun).

    I’ve been out all day and so I thought surely all will be good when I get back … no nothing!

    Beggars belief that IG / PRT could leave one of their clients in such a dilemma for so long!?

    Below is the most recent from IG at 09:48 this morning!

    I am awaiting IT-Finance’s feedback regarding this and I will revert back to you as soon as they have replied.…

    This is nuts and worrying in equal measure. Hope they have a resolution for you quick. I think it’s deplorable that a company like IG are dragging their heels on this for so long. I would raise a complaint with your account manager or directly with customer services. With the ESMA news today they can ill afford to lose more clients !

    PS – I’d be shocked if your profile was not saved on a redundancy server somewhere, all co’s have them so it’s definitely stored. Whether they deem it “economically viable” to have someone retrieve and restore from that back up for you is another question. I hope they do, good luck !

    Sorry to hear this GraHal.

    Maybe it’s time to put in a request for a Export all strategies to ZIP file? Because it’s such a pain to export each strategy.

    Still devoid of Trading Systems in the ProOrder Auto-trading window

    I sent below to IG …

    Re 8651 – I find it a sorry state of affairs that I have not yet been restored to Sat night 24 March.

    The longer it goes on, it seems more worrying that PRT are not operating effective back-up procedures?

    Please advise what is the hold-up and when might I expect to be restored?

    Update …

    It is now the 5th day (following the PRT outage of Sat 24 / Sun 25) since I lost my Systems listed in the ProOrder AutoTrading window.

    Are you able to advise what progress has been made to restore my Systems please?

    Are you able to advise if PRT take a DAILY Backup and what time of day is the BackUp and was a backup done on Saturday 24 March please?

    Yeaahhh I’m all fully restored! My most recent dated 100 Systems restored!

    Yeah.!!
    We were all waiting in anticipation.! Phew…

    So one learns…
    I have backup of strategies in txt format. These I then store on separate HDD and place copy on off-site machine as well.
    No use having backups only on local drive.

    You’re just too good Andre! 🙂 But an example we all need to follow!

    I am working towards 100% backup on my local drive and on google docs also so this doesn’t happen again!

    Hi Grahal!
    I’m really happy for you. This misadventure has left us puzzled. But everything ends happily.
    Personally, I make backups on local disk, on a USB key, and also Onedrive.

    Wow you are ‘belt and braces’ re backups, but I agree!  It was a horrible feeling when I lost my Systems!
