Because the new data engine is coming, new capabilities are possible, and variable array is one of them. This is by far the most required thing to take ProBuilder language one step further (with better loops!). Arrays can help us to store dynamically variables values and as a result allow us to create much more complex indicators like (examples) Eliott waves, market profile indicators, harmonic patterns indicators, divergences indicators, etc …
In fact, many indicators (or portions of automatic trading strategy program for example), can not be translated into ProBuilder language from other software, especially because of this lack of data arrays.
Variable array can have one dimension or multiple ones, I hope we could have multi dimensional ones!
Hope this feature will arrive soon 🙂 I can not wait!

01/28/2018 at 6:13 PM #60751Hi Nicolas,
I didn’t follow any “classical” training in programming and I am a simple neophyte who use ProBuilder and ProBacktest very slightly … With the upcoming evolution of the PRT platform (and the availability of new resources that will make it more complex development of indicators and strategies), I would like to know:
1 – if there is a training program that would allow me to develop programming skills;
2 – If you could share with us your individual training course, explain how you were trained, what your previous work experience was, detail to us your current activity in programming and individual trading, etc.
Your answer would be appreciate,
Thanks,
Max.

I always learned everything by myself, completely self-taught for a little while . I do not have a background in finance especially, just always touched a little everything and never give up anything you do not understand at first sight. Passion feeds passion 🙂 Apart from working a lot, again and again, there are no other secrets ..
