Auto-Trade & Manual Trade Same Instrument (NOT!)

  Hello

  Does anybody else find it annoying / frustrating that we can’t Auto=Trade and Manual Trade the same instrument?

  I can do a few manual trade moves like Stop & Limit  Orders.

  Using the Buy at Market & Sell at Market buttons on the Quick Order Interface closes down my Auto-Strategy and adds the (what was) Auto-Trades as manual trades!

  Why would IT-Finance (the PRT SW House) think this is a desirable feature?  Maybe it’s well complicated for IT-Finance to have the PRT Platform work any other way?

  If I am trading the DAX then I want to trade both Auto-Strategies and Manual Trade … but I can’t!

  Anybody know or IT-Finance comment on if / when this undesirable (in my opinion) feature may change for the better?

  I am with IG … is it maybe an ‘IG only thing’?

  Suggestion: If you are with IG you can open the second spreadbet or CFD account yourself. Use one account for auto trade and second account for manual trading. Hope this helps.

  Hi GraHal. I have no problem open a manual orders with Automated ones on the same instrument. I think it’s because I use the “force open” option. It works on the demo account, haven’t tried on live though.
