1 x Nasdaq EUR 20 per point = 280K euros. Say 300K USD.
0.1 times that = 30K USD.
2000USD in your portfolio means 6.6 % margin. I think 5% is the requirement, but as you can see this is critical anyway. So that c0uld be the culprit.
And nothing will notify you about it.
Something else is that 0.1 contracts may not be allowed (too few).
But you can try the EUR 1 per point and get 3 of them (42K euros). Careful, because that too could be too few for some other rules. I see people always having troubles with the lower contract amounts (on the EUR 1 pp). I think I have seen 3 contracts work without issues for myself.
And add a little to your portfolio of course.
