Please can you confirm that Automatic Trading on your Live Account does not work on DAX with position size = 1?

    #242621

Yes, I can confirm this, I am not even able to click on “Prepare for automatic Trading” because of this error. Please see the screenshot.

But you are trying on SAP AG (DE), what happens when you try on DAX / Germany 40?

    #242625

Now I see what you mean. For indices I don’t get this error. Only for Shares I have this problem. Please see the screenshot.

Now we have established a baseline (i.e. you can trade with Algo on DAX) I tried a few big name companies – Apple, BASF, Google and Airbus and I get the same message that you get, but only with a code from MarketPlace!

Error message is saying that I cannot trade automatically because the code is not accessible.

I tried the same gig on Airbus with one of my own Algos and it worked fine!

So next question has to be … is the Algo(s) you are having trouble with from MarketPlace?

Yes, it’s a good start! Thanks to you!

No, its not from MarketPlace. I have my own strategy.

Now I am wondering if I can really do auto trade for Shares. Though, the IG customer services guy told me I can and it is activated.

    #242629

Try starting your Algo on Airbus as mine worked on Airbus (EAD) so we may as well be testing on same share.

Doesn’t seem to work on any share (including Airbus). btw, do you also use IG?

@all: I would be interested to know from people who use IG with ProRealTime if they are able to do Auto Trading for Shares. If anyone is able to confirm this it would be great.

    #242634

Yes I am with IG, but I do use spreadbet as opposed to CFD’s which you are using.

Maybe @phoentz will be along soon to add his experience to this mystery?

    #242635

Oh okay, good to know. Unfortunately I am not into spreadbets. So I cannot really try that. Would be great if someone who does “Shares” using CFD can confirm that it works with IG.
