    Hi there,

Does anyone know if Probuilder has some kind of external API / SOAP interface or similar that enables you to set the values of the parameters for your indicators from an external app (like Excel)?

I have all the numbers that I need in Excel, I just find it a pain having to type them in manually to the parameters of my chart indicators. There must be a way to automate this.

Can anyone give me a pointer?

    Phil.

There is no possibility to control the platform outside of it. If you get these settings into Excel, why not automate the process directly into probuilder code in the indicator?

Thanks for your response Nicolas. You’ve confirmed my suspicions.

The issue is I am using charts from IG (with IG pricing), but I want to calculate my Pivots/custom indicators using the real market prices from the previous day rather than the IG prices from the previous day.

I therefore enter the cash High, Low, Close manually into my indicator parameters and my indicator then gives me all the horizontal lines that I need for the various support/resistance levels.

I don’t think there is a way to access the cash market High/Low/Close from the IG PRT charts – unless you know different. So I guess I will have to stick with the way that I am currently doing this.

So if you are using a different instrument quotation to calculate your own levels (from cash to CFD contract), I don’t know any other way to do, compared to the way you currently doing this..
