Hi, I understand backtest is done on PRT Servers not locally on my computer. Is there any way to speed that up? Or a good time to backtest? Yesterday and today it is extremely slow.

If its not on PRT servers what is better, CPU speed or RAM?

    Thanks

    Andy

backtest is done on PRT Servers

    Yes it is.

Sometimes weekend is good / fast / normal and other times weekend is not good / slow … I guess due to PRT doing work involving their servers etc?

If you are getting lots of screen message related to ‘calculating’ then the indicators you are using in your code or displaying below Price are slowing down the display of the backtest results on your screen (but not slowing the backtest itself).

    Hope that makes sense?

Thanks, makes perfect thanks. Must just be their servers. I was just having a play with Balmora’s Vectorial and the FTSE.

    Again thanks

The calculating of the Indicators is undertaken by / on your PC … just for clarity / the record.
