Hey traders,
I have been using ProRealTime for a while and am looking to refine my swing trading strategy. I mainly trade stocks and forex on the daily and 4-hour charts. Currently.., I use moving averages and RSI, but I feel like I am missing out on better setups.
Which indicators do you find most effective for swing trading in ProRealTime: ?? Do you combine multiple indicators, or do you prefer price action: ?? Also, how do you filter false signals to avoid unnecessary trades: ??
Any insights, strategies, or even custom ProRealTime code suggestions would be highly appreciated. Looking forward to learning from you all !! I have also gone through this https://www.prorealcode.com/topic/swing-trader-indicators-jira but still need some more help.
Thanks !!
With Regards,

Also, it is better to select indicators that match your trading style and know well how to use them.
Price action is necessary for more confirmations. You can try this version or RSI which is good :

The one I prefer is https://www.prorealcode.com/prorealtime-indicators/order-blocks-volume-indicator/.
It intelligently combines the evolution of prices and volumes, which is not the case for the majority of indicators.
It has the advantage of identifying support and resistance zones with relevance, or even range entries. Which should alert before taking a position.
In addition, it is easily modifiable to make it evolve or integrate it into a screener02/27/2025 at 8:27 AM #244400Iván is doing a huge and very great job converting those indicators/strategies smartly and accurately, mainly from Tradingview platform. And it is sometimes not easy as Tradingview has a lot of functions that Prorealtime has not…
But the indicator you like is not accurate at all : those “relevant supports and resistances zones” are not accurate at all. If you want to trade them, your stop loss would be far, not allowing big Risk Reward ratio. It is easy to do far more accurate supports and resistances…
Almost half of the price are Order block supports/resistances… How do you trade this ? 🙂
02/27/2025 at 10:34 AM #244404I’m not saying that I trade from this indicator outcomes. I have my own indicators for that. I’m saying this indicator (that I use) is relevant to identify some “Risk analysis” concerns when taking position. For that purpose, it is very interesting. Most of the time it sheds light on some outstanding price movements.
