Team,
I need your help please…..
Need an indicator that Loops between 8 or x number of candles..
large candle in the loop of 8 (or number), with a low volume than 600 – please look at CV1 pic attached. Compare to 1st ,2nd candles where volume was < 600 the body size of 3rd candle is smaller but volume exceeded 600 despite of the size.
small candle in the loop of 8, with a high volume than 600 – please look at CV2 pic attached. Compare to 1st candle where volume was > 600 the body size of 4th candle is wayyy smaller but volume exceeded 600 despite of the size.
04/11/2023 at 6:27 PM #213120You want to loop backwards N candles, to find what, exactly?
How big should the volume be and how big or small has the range or body of the candle be?
04/11/2023 at 6:35 PM #213123Hi Roberto, thanks for the prompt response, appreciate it.
I am looking for a differences in volume compare to candle sizes as depicted in the attached pictures.
Volume parameter we can set to 600 as an example…look at the live chart of DOW Jones that I’ve attached on 1 min…timings are in GMT..
just few mins ago,
CV2 pic has
1736 candle of 1 min,
1739 candle of 1 min
and
CV1 Pic has
1710 candle of 1 min and
1712 candle of 1 min.
You’ll see what I am trying to achieve there.
It’s the overall size of the candle high and low.. not body but total size comparison.

candle timings 1813 and 1814….also 1830 and 1831…
hope it make some sense now..

In this case we can just make a simple ratio, then comparison could be made:
1return volume/rangeHigh peaks mean big volume on small candlesticks.
You can even square that value to highlight it:
1return square(volume/range)04/12/2023 at 4:02 PM #213196Hi Nicolas,
Thank you. How do we do that in a loop of candles comparing?
Sorry I am not much of a coder despite my best tries, I fail miserably 🙂
