Cant post to this forum

Hi

I’ve tried posting a few items on this forum using Safari and a Macbook. I write a topic, add pics then hit submit and the page refreshes back to the forum home page but my post is never posted and the number of topics shows it hasn’t been posted?
Any ideas? Thanks.

 

So this item posted but why not others I have tried? Is it something to do with the fact that I was using images in the other two posts (one today and the other last month which both failed to post)? I will repost the topic that just failed to post without images.

SUBJECT: Programming help for Limit Orders and an Exit on first profitable opening.

Hi everyone,

I came across a profitable Bond Trading System and was interested in it’s pattern entry exits (and combining those pattern with some indicators that filter the direction of the market). The system’s logic is this: (Note: Despite it’s 95% accuracy, you would run this system with other similar systems to compensate for the large very rare losses )

Entry: Thursday or Friday

If yesterdays bar has a lower high and higher low than yesterday[1] (day before yesterday)  (i.e. an Inside Day)

If yesterdays close is above yesterdays open
and if todays open gaps above yesterdays high then,
Buy, limit order set at high of yesterday minus 15% of yesterdays range.

Exit: On first profitable opening

Reasoning/Logic: Mkts are like a coiled spring with inside days and don’t like to leave gaps so the gap will be filled allowing a better fill.

What I can’t figure out is how to write the 15% Limit Order and the Exit on profitable opening part?

Any ideas?

What is the picture format? (extension). How many kilobytes?

 

PNG’s and about 120 kb’s but it’s NOT the images that stopped the post Nicolas. I tried again earlier this evening without images and the topic (Limit Orders) failed to post. So I tried it here and it posted. I have no idea why as I don’t have any problem in any other forums using this Macbook and Safari?

Hi Nicolas, Can you see the topic titled: “Programming help for Limit Orders and an Exit on first profitable opening” ?
I just posted it in the pro order support forum a minute ago with two images? It doesn’t show as: “recently posted” in the forum. It doesn’t show as a topic in my list of topics as that is showing 6 items when it should now be 7 – please see image attached:

I’m sorry Bard, but I never seen that kind of problem before! Did your topic has a title and at least some text in the message?

When you hit ‘submit’, did you were redirected to the forum root or did you were still on your topic? When you hit submit and you don’t see that your message has been posted (still stuck in the edit mode with your text in the editor), there must be something wrong (title too long, too short, etc.).

I know, me neither! My first title was too long. The system will just stop writing characters so you have a half finished word, so I shortened it.
So it is not the subject line or posting images… umm?

After posting, it left the editor and took me straight back to the Forum Page: prorealcode.com/forum/prorealtime-english-forum/proorder-support/
— and I couldn’t see it, that’s how I knew it hadn’t posted (like the topic last month). I checked the Topics in my account and as the screenshot shows above it didn’t post. I thought it maybe a wifi issue (I was out of the house) so I tried later at home with my ethernet connection – still no difference and yet this website now has no problems with this current topic or me posting about the William Tell Bonds system and the Limit Order question I had above in this post?

What’s your browser? Did you try a complete cookie and cache reset? This is weird..

I just posted an answer an hour ago and guess what? It didn’t post here… Basically it said that I have tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome and can’t post the William Tell winning bond system that needs help with a Limit Order.

Is it anything to do with the “Brad” / Bard username misspelling? I notice when I cleared the cookies and cache in Safari it remembers my incorrect name as Brad when I went to log in, it’s also the name I then decided to use in Firefox and Chrome to log in and post on the William Tell Bonds topic which also failed using those browsers — is this an account issue!?

Is there a ‘timeout’ on postings?

I lost one / never appeared on the Thread last Sunday, first time ever in 12 months. it took me a while to write and I had a phone call etc etc so when I pressed ‘submit’ it would have been ‘lot longer than normal’ when I am doing postings.

Maddening when it happens (once only so far) I didn’t bother after as it took me ages to write.

So is there timeout Nicolas?

Bard I changed your nickname to Brad.. I don’t think it has something to deal with the problem though..

Sorry for inconvenience Grahal, but I’m not aware of any timeout.. I’m still investigating!

Made a few modifications in the cache configuration, hope it helps to fix your issue.. Please refresh completely the website with a cookie and cache flush before trying to repost, thanks.

Hi Nicolas, thanks, Brad was the mistake it was always originally meant to be Bard (but for my haste and spelling error in signing up) but I’ve found a way in settings to change it back to Bard.

I still can’t post this William Tell Bonds Limit Order question, I just cleared cache and the ProRealCode cookie?

It’s an intermittent software bug, as I don’t have any issues with other forums, and I’ve even been able to start this thread! and post about Cynthia Kase and John Ehlers library.
I have had other bugs using this forum and Safari. Eg clicking on Add URL (within a new post) and the page suddenly jumping down to the bottom of the page I’m on and the URL not being able to be added.

Not sure if opening a new profile will make any difference? Does your site not like Macbook Pro’s using Safari, Firefox or Chrome? ha ha..

I’m scratching my head and thinking I’ll to go make a cup of Earl Grey tea. That’s what we English do when faced with a problem….
Decided I will experiment with posting on this forum (and delete my test attempts so as not to clutter the forum up).
