Has somebody found a comparison table for the new ESMA CFD margins in comparison to futures margins? I read an article that claimed that with the new margins in several cases the futures margin is lower than the CFD margin (I think bund future was mentioned as example).
I googled but couldn’t find something I liked and I’m definitely too lazy to look up every underlying on its own. 🙂
“US brokers charge $ 1000,00 margin for the Mini DAX.
For the Big FDAX they charge $ 2500,00 margin. (EU brokers charge E 20.000 to E 22.000 margin for 1 FDAX contract)
In EU the margins are much higher for all DAX contracts and US contracts.”
US mini dax 5 euro * 12 000 = 60 000 euro and margin 1000 usd = leverage 70?
EU FDAX 25 euro * 12 000 = 300 000 euro and margin 20 000 euro = leverage 15?
