    I’ve run into a variety of bugs and issues in the short time I’ve been using PRT but most worryingly of all my chart will just stop updating sometimes. Despite still being connected to my broker. The Bid and Ask buttons show the realtime price but the chart price gets stuck as if the market has closed. No action seems to cause it, it will just occasionally stop.

    The chart window remains responsive as normal, it’s not frozen or crashed. Just the price and candlesticks are not updating. Changing timeframe, clicking to other symbols, disconnecting and reconnecting to the broker doesn’t fix it either. The only solution is to restart the software. It’s happened a few times in the last couple days.

    You can see in the screenshot the last price on the right scale and the Ask/Bid buttons differ.

    This is since 4 months or so (V12 / IBKR). I (via Help) reported it 3 times. Never heard anything back.
    I think this always happens just after the start of the platform. But you’ll usually notice a couple of hours later. Well, that’s how it goes with me. 🙁

    ok that’s quite worrying. If this is a regular issue then it’s not possible for me to use the platform.

    It can’t be that bad, because I use it too. 🙂
    So far I have never seen it happening from “all fine” to suddenly “stalled”. That’s why the “it happens right after the platform was started”. In the end this is thus not a big deal. Besides, we are into AutoTrading, right ? then this won’t bother really (all arrows and crosses will stack on that one bar).

    If sufficient people report the issue (thus via the Help menu) then this should help speed things up.

    I’ve had this happen a couple of times but not for a long time, months ago, until yesterday, once.

    Platform had been running for hours before, apparently no reason, but I was programming at the time.

    I noticed it because I had IG’s platform up and could see the updating candles.

    Everything seemed to be working as normal but chart candles frozen.

    Re-started platform, no re-occurrence since.
