I am thinking of it as playing the worst case scenario in a way as I haven’t bypassed any game / market yet and I generally make myself place a trade every few bars even if it looks a bad set up.
I’m more looking at it like … can I make money in any market! 🙂
Trouble is if I start back Live trading again with that strategy, I’ll be penniless in months!!! 🙂

I think in real life it will be more like ‘….can I lose money in any market!’

But on chartgame it is real markets chosen at random and so if I can approach real life the same (no fear! ha) then performance in real life may equate to chartgame.com.
Another difference I have noted (when I bother to look) the random choice seems to be from about 10 years ago so this is also another factor between real life and chartgame.
What I really like though is trading 10 hours of 5 min charts in 10 mins or 100 days in 10 mins!! 🙂

Yes I read on forum about that… it seems the majority of “scenario” proposed are before 2010.
Anyway I lost 30% 😀1 user thanked author for this post.

On Day or Swing? Analyse what you are doing wrong?? Get out quick with a small profit, like real life … less risk and makes you feel good! 🙂
Anybody come across any other Trading Simulators??
I like manual trading and find it frustrating trying to code various strategies so Trading Sims suits me!

Yes. I found that my big losses where when I entered on a breakout and then it reversed. And yes, sometimes I look for so big profit ending with a loss. The thing I don’t like of this game is the fact that you enter with a very big amount of money… I won’t enter in that way in real and I would like to test it in simulation.
I looked for other simulations like this. I found another one some months ago, but I don’t remember the name, sorry.
Someone told me that Ninja Trader (or it was Trade Station) has a simulator, but I don’t know how they works. Unfortunately I don’t want to learn another trading platform just to train myself… I think chartgame is simple like I need it.
Regards

I agree, so as we start with 100k (?) I am dividing all profits etc by 10 (or 100?) to equate to real life levels??

I agree, and no mither to register etc.
I am glad you brought it to my attention – thank you!
