Closed Automated Trades Reporting

  Hi

  I am currently deploying several automated systems through ProRealTime but also journaling the trades into Edgewonk using the broker statements.

  At the moment if I have closed a DAX trade for example it could be one of several systems so I need to open the performance link of each system in order to establish which trades belong to which system, the detailed report view does not appear to have a way in which the system that generated the trade can be reported upon. Is there any way to get a report of the closed trades and the systems they belong to?

  I was pondering last night (independent of your post only just read) over a similar need and started writing a response to your post, but then decided that my need was subtly different from yours so I did a separate post on the link below …

  I agree the Detailed Report lacks the ability to add in System against Trades, but I am hoping Version 11 will give us complete new wonderful easy to use effective Tools … that also do basic things like on screen Totals of selections etc

  It is worth adding at this point (hoping PRT Support read this) … you can’t even see which System generated the Trade even when it is open / trading (never mind closed! 🙁 ) due to the stupid way the System name is beneath the Trade details … see attached red arrow pointing to.

  I have suggested to PRT ages ago (via their Contact Form) that if they change the System name to be to the right of Trade details then the System name can be read (what else is it there for, but to be read, which – when Orders are stacked etc – we cannot read!)

  Even if you use the Open Positions List you cannot add in System Name as a column.

  I hope Version 11 sorts out all these frustrating little Issues that have been around for sooo long!?

  I’d best go and do some more work in my Garden to stop me ranting!?

  In PRT v11, you can click on any order on the chart and it will open the window from where the order is referenced: backtests, trading list, etc.

  Yes you can do above in Version 10 currently (see blue circles on atttached), but then you then end up looking at the AutoTrading Screen, scrolling up and down to find an Open Trade showing the same value as the trade that you just clicked on then clicking back to the Chart to double check while in the meantime the value is changing so back to the AutoTrading Screen for a treble check  … when all you wanted to know was the System name which is shown on the Chart screen anyway but the System name is hidden by orders and so is illegible / cant be read!

  It all seems like we have to find work-arounds for problems which we flag up to PRT but nobody takes any notice of and fixes never come!?
