continuous futures data IG

  IG provides continuous futures data meaning I can see the entire history of the symbol.

  However. PRT does not show the historical data. Why?

  The problem of trading futures via PRT with IG is that when the instrument rolls over IG makes it become a new instrument. Any trades open get closed or orphaned depending on your settings. Your trade is not transferred to the new instrument. I guess this is why futures history is so short on the PRT charts. If you trade directly in the IG platform you can have your futures trades roll over directly into the new instrument (at a cost) but obviously you cannot autotrade in the IG platform.
