Hi everyone, I’ve a visualization problem from data showed on PRT and IG/tradingview/other brokers.
As you can see on images that I’ve uploaded on this topic there are several bars, on 10 minutes timeframe and ofc in the others, that show a very different bar composition.
I need to know why there is this problem, if I’m alone to see it and how can I fix it.The market where I found this incongruence between IG and PRT is ENI spa, italian MIB FTSE.
Thanks 🙂

The Instruments that IG make a Market in are derivatives of the underlying. In the case you show the underlying is ENI spa, italian MIB FTSE.
As a derivative, the price is controlled by IG and is not tied to the underlying, but most of the time IG mid-price is the same as the underlying (else we’d all be trading with another broker).

The problem here is that the price showed on PRT is terribily different from price showed on IG.The instrument is the same, same derivate with same underlying.
As you say the derivate price’s in not tied to underlying but the price showed on PRT must be the same showed on IG.

My mistake … I thought the chart you showed with the 3 very large upper wicks was IG via PRT and the other chart was from another broker / TradingView.

The clients who trade with IG have paid this price.
At IG, for example, you can also trade on weekends, and you will not find these prices anywhere else than at IG.
IG makes its own prices.
05/30/2022 at 1:01 AM #194166I know that CFD mean that I trade a contract with the broker, in this specific case IG, but I also know that IG have follow, as it can, the underlying price’s.
I’m not saying that isn’t possible, I’m saying that’s weird that my broker manipulate SO MUCH the price in a working common day.If I try to zoom in with a 1 minute time frame I just see a market gap, due to what?

Will you please post it again?
