Hello.
As the topic title says i’m looking for a way to display 5min bar close on 30min tf and not sure if there’s a way to do that. I have coded 5min indicator to display close for particular trading session and need the exact same close on 30min tf. Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards.

How would you be able to even see 6 x 5 min price levels at the top of a single 30 min bar?? Or am I missing something??
Why don’t you do it the other way … show the 30 min close on 5 min TF?? This should be easy now with Multi TF?

08/30/2018 at 10:00 AM #79375Thanks for reply GraHal. I’m but confused here as I get two different closing prices for 16.30 bar using 5min and 30min parameters but would like to use only 5min closing price on both 5min and 30min chart as its the most accurate closing time for particular trading session. Sometimes the price matches but most of the time the difference is less then 10 points. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, I’m new to coding:)

I can’t think why you should have two different closing prices at this stage. What instrument are you talking about on what day etc?? Does this anomaly show on a Backtest Chart??

08/30/2018 at 10:16 AM #79378I think i explained not properly so pardon from my side and i’ll try again if not successful will post two chart later when i’m done trading ftse session. I need the close of 16.30 5min bar so same as the open of 16.35 5min bar so maybe thats why i get two different closing prices as 30min close is just 16.30 close on the dot?
08/30/2018 at 10:28 AM #79379Oh yeah they can be different up to acceptable limits as there will be a few milliseconds between the close of on bar and the open of the next bar.
Also if 16:30 is significant as in close of the Instrument / Market then the difference can be more pronounced at times.
