    Hi Everyone,

Just signed up so please forgive the newbie question.

Couldn’t find anything conclusive using “search” facility so hopefully someone here will know if it is possible in PRT to create a piece of code that will either generate a signal or enter a trade when price crosses (or meets) a drawn object? I’m thinking trend lines specifically.

For example, if i draw a trendline on my chart is there a way to get the system to recognize it like it would a moving average?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi EY

If you right click on the trend line and click on alert or click on alert on the top tool bar and then click on the trend line then use the alert  settings to set up a trade when it crosses the trend line or any line.

if above doesn’t make sense then just say and I will elaborate, else read the PRT manual on alerts setting.

    Cheers

Did you try it EY? Any good?

I maybe didnt make it clear from above … but alerts have a setting to execute a trade. Only problem … if you switch yuor PC off or lose internet connection then the alert dies! But alerts are great for intraday trades as you can then set the alerts sound on max and on a ‘loop’ so if you are making a coffee / away from your PC then you can hear thet trade executes! Also you can set up the alert so you receive a text or email to your phone etc.

Let us know how you get on as its nice to get feedback (positive or negative) on a help request. I may have got it wrong and you need something different?

    Cheers
