So it means that the request is a mission impossible on PRT?
what i am trying to achieve is to get an email notification each time when the volume exceeds a certain value ( e.g.20k) on the 1H TF.
Is it possible on PRT?
I am meaning this request.
10/14/2019 at 8:37 AM #110089Yes you can do above, I set it up as Volume > 30 on the 1 min TF on DJI and I have had 4 emails so far … in the last 4 mins! 🙂
Understandably the Alert has to be set up on a Market where volume is available … for example NOT Forex.

10/14/2019 at 8:44 AM #110090I found the email alert was triggered only once then become inactive. Is it possible to set a repeating alarm everytime the condition is met?
I am encountering this problem, can u show me how did u do it @GraHal
10/14/2019 at 9:11 AM #110093I found the email alert was triggered only once
To use my Alert as an example … I only get Alerts / emails when volume dropped below 30 and then rose above 30 in the next 1 min bar,
I do not (and you would not) get an Alert / Email for every bar that volume remains above 30 for the whole bar.I just reset my Alert to All Crossings so then at least I would know that volume had reduced to below 30. I got the attached message for All Crossings.
Does that clarify how the Alert works @fatlung?
PRT Support / Anybody?
(It is confusing as it begs the question … how is > 30 different from crossing above 30 as the two settings work exactly the same?? Anybody can answer please?)
I have thought of a possible reason for above … if volume > 30 produced an alert for every bar with vol > 30 then this would be confused with the repeating Alert sound on the Platform … only the time of execution of the Alert would identify … a repeating Alert for a single meeting of the condition … from … a repeated meeting of the condition on successive bars.
10/14/2019 at 9:21 AM #11009410/14/2019 at 9:49 AM #110098status on PRT remains ‘triggered’ and never resets on its own.
Please check if it the Alert goes back to ‘waiting‘ when volume drops below x on 1H TF?
10/14/2019 at 10:04 AM #110099I am checking on 1 min TF and vol > 50 over 5 mins ago and the Alert still says ‘Triggered‘ even though vol has been < 50 for5 mins.
I will leave it until vol > 50 for a second time to make sure I get another email then I will cancel the email part of the Alert to see if the Alert goes back to ‘Waiting‘ when vol goes back to < 50.

10/14/2019 at 10:32 AM #110103Mmm Email alerts are inconsistent …
With Email Alert Selected
- Vol went to > 50 at 10:10 having been < 50 since 10:05 but I did not get an email at 10:10 (nor up to 10:30 at time of writing this).
With email selected … display of Triggered / Waiting on the Alert monitor screen DOES NOT WORK / Change correctly when it should..
With Email Alert Deselected
- Vol went to < 50 at 10:26 and the Alert screen went immediately / real time back to ‘Waiting’.
With email deselected … display of Triggered / Waiting on the Alert monitor screen DOES WORK / change correctly when it should..
My conclusion … Email Alerts are inconsistent and cannot be relied on, sometimes they work, but often they don’t !?
Roll on Version 11!? Believe it when I see it??
10/14/2019 at 11:02 AM #110107Aha … I’ve found a work around … go to the Alert settings screen (after each email alert!) and click modify alert! See red arrowhead on attached.
With above work around then even with email alert selected you will get a fresh email alert once / each time your condition is met.
- Vol went to > 50 at 10:10 having been < 50 since 10:05 but I did not get an email at 10:10 (nor up to 10:30 at time of writing this).
