The foreign exchange market (Forex) can be of two natures:
The cash spot market (the spot market)
The futures market for currencies (the forward exchange through future currency contracts)
The spot currency market (or spot) brings together all the Forex transactions that constitute an instantaneous purchase and sale of currencies. You buy the Euro Dollar par value for cash, so you immediately buy the Euro and sell at the same time the Dollar. The transaction is carried out at the real time price, the latter being calculated as soon as an exchange takes place and there are hundreds of thousands per second. The spot foreign exchange (forex) market trades electronically around the world. It is the world’s largest market, with over $5 trillion traded daily; its size dwarfs the interest rate and commodity markets.
The current price of a financial instrument is called the spot price. It is the price at which an instrument can be sold or bought at immediately. Buyers and sellers create the spot price by posting their buy and sell orders. In liquid markets, the spot price may change by the second, as orders get filled and new ones enter the marketplace.

In Forex Spot usually there is no volume because It is not a regulated market, it is desentralized; OTC market.

Yes it will be the volume of transactions undertaken by the clients of Interactive Brokers only (i.e. does not include transactions by IG clients or transaction by ‘any / all other traders’ in the world).
06/17/2019 at 5:42 AM #100834Many thanks,
As far as I know Interactive Brokers does not provide volume for spot forex, is it the proreal customers volume trough IB?
Attached there is the EURUSD daily chart, the 200 simple average applied to volume shows 153.303 per day; I guess it will be 153.303.000 EUR?
06/17/2019 at 9:36 AM #100858I guess it will be 153.303.000 EUR?
Or it could be 153.303.000 transactions, where Long or Short of 1 Contract = 1 Transaction, but also Long oe Short of 10 x Contracts = 1 Transaction also??
Is there an IB Forum?
It would be useful if you asked the question above on the IB Forum and report back here?
