    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone can help me out, if you would be so kind. I am looking to develop a super trend strategy, on the basis that price closes above or below the cloud.

The issue I have is.. due to the cloud only being a coloured infill which is situated between 2 separate super trends, and both of these super trends interchange with one another..(One is sometimes above the other and vice versa) I am finding it difficult for the strategy to act as per my wishes.

In an ideal world.. I would love to create a buy or sell signal respectively using the following.

    Go long when:

Price closes above SUPERTREND 1 & SUPERTREND 2 – Initiate long on the second / both variables being met.
Price closes above SUPERTREND 2 & SUPERTREND 1 – Initiate long on the second / both variables being met.

    Go short when:

Price closes below SUPERTREND 1 & SUPERTREND 2 – Initiate short on the second / both variables being met.
Price closes below SUPERTREND 2 & SUPERTREND 1 – Initiate short on the second / both variables being met.

Hopefully one of you expert coders can assist me in my request?

I am currently learning prorealcode however I am at an extremely basic level and this therefore is currently out of my reach for the time being.

    Many thanks!

Sounds interesting … why don’t you post your code as far as you have got else it means a helper on here would need to start all over again.

Also your values can be used and so it is better all round?

If you have no code so far why not use the Simplified Creation Tool (see red arrowhead on attached) as all what you say above can be set up using this and it’s just a case of clicking (no coding skills required).

Lots of us start out using the Simplified Creation Tool.  I still use it now and again to quickly / easily check out a strategy idea.

Then post your code on here! 🙂

Fish or fishing rod comes to mind … do you know that proverb? 🙂
