IG Mobile App – Is Yours Working?

  To establish if this is due to my (old) iphone or the IG App …

  1.      Is your IG Mobile App working correctly please?

  2.     Are your prices being updated in real time on the App?

  Mine has worked faultlessly for years, but recently stopped updating in real time.

  When I login the prices are always correct, but then prices never change.  I’m convinced I have disabled the setting for streaming, but despite trying everything I can’t find the setting.

  Might you or anybody happen to know please. I do vaguely recall enabling a setting when I first got the IG App going and I recall thinking … this is not intuitive so I’ll probably forget … and I have forgot if in deed I am correct re a setting for streaming??  Is it on IG website maybe, but where???

  Any help or comments gladly appreciated!

  The only thing I could think of is that your mobile data for the IG app is off.

  So on your iPhone -> Settings -> IG -Trading -> Mobile Data (On/Off)

  Thanks, I’ve tried every setting on the phone … including off and on for mobile data for IG App … several times as you do when something that did work stops working!  🙁

  I bit the bullet and uninstalled the IG App, then the App store kept saying incompatible with this device etc etc and did not seem to be installing IG App again. Anyway a few minutes later the IG App appeared! I’ve logged in afresh and prices are still not updating, although it is Saturday!  I’ll wait, see if anythng different on Monday.

  What model is your iphone JS please?

  Mine is iphone 4 running ios 7.1.2. I’m thinking that despite me not updating ios or the IG App that the App will just not work with my iphone 4 anymore??

  Annoyng thing is, lots on the IG Forum seem to be having trouble with ‘streaming’ also, but IG support are not giving definitive answers. Here is one example from yesterday …

  My iPhone is an SE with iOS 15.4.1

  It’s of course the weekend and the markets are closed but I can see that at least the crypto markets are updating on my iPhone… with you also no update of the crypto markets?

  Yes no price update even on crypto.

  I also have an iphone 6S (my daughter gave me! 🙂 ) with a non-functional home button … I’ll do the home button fix and see if I can get IG App working on the 6S.
