Talked to IG today and they are blaming PRT for not giving the test-enviorments… not sure what to believe considering that other brokers have gotten them? Im guessing, seeing how others offer PRT 11..
They said PRT 11 will come earliest Summer-times…

02/21/2020 at 8:27 AM #120124May be its time to Quit IG and join Interactive. Looks like IG will take another year to release PRT 11. I have never seen anything less efficient than this process. IG could probably develop their own chart platform in time they are taking to test a platform developed by another company.
Looks like they don’t care about what clients want.

I think that it is more likely to be a case of being absolutely certain that everything is completely bug free and operating as it should be. This is especially important when you have live autotrading systems running on a platform that could win or lose large sums of money in the blink of an eye.
I guess they don’t feel the need to rush the decision to go live with v11 all the while v10.3 is up and running just fine. We have to remember that PRT is an important part of our trading lives but to IG it is just a little sparkly bauble to lure in more people to open trading accounts with them.

You are probably best to seek out forums dedicated to each of those platforms and ask the users there what their thoughts are rather than ask in a forum full of PRT users! 🙂
02/22/2020 at 5:03 AM #120198Its amazing that they say that they don’t know estimated date of release. All serious projects have a completion date. Each time you contact IG, you get different answer and different date.
I hope they stick to their early 2020, date, ie. FIrst quarter. Moving goal post frustrates everyone.

Good point. Anybody here working directly with PRT? Any comment?
Also my wild guess is that all delays in the PRT11 and the problems/error with automated systems in IG can be explained by two different and complementary reasons:
- Not a lot of interest by IG about this limited part of his business (PRT-automatedsystems) They can offer PRT (any version) and that´s good enough for them, commercialy speaking.
- PRT is also not interested in make things easy for IG because it´s not as profitable as working directly with them
You mix this two points and what you get… us being fxxup. But the true all this can be just in my head… who knows, not me! 😉
