Good Day
Are there any of you that trade using Interactive Brokers?
I am interested to potentially open an account with them due to their lower spreads.
I mainly trade forex (due to better spreads) and thus very interested in Interactive Brokers offering.
Please share your opinion or experience if you are using them.
Also @Nicolas do you perhaps also know if they have access to newer versions of PRT before IG?

Very unfortunate, would really love better spreads. What about L2 DMA access, could that to your knowledge somehow be utilized through IG to access better spreads though PRT auto trading?

commission?

Yes. It should be extended to IB in the future but I dont know when.
08/10/2020 at 2:12 PM #141320Hello,
I too am looking for an answer for routing automated trading from within PRT to IB. The IG retail platform is alright, but have encountered several small issues, and the spread restricts smaller timeframe strategies.
Does anyone have any idea when we will be able to route to IB? I have ask PRT directly today, but wondering if anyone here knows.
Thanks

Can you give us an update on IB and PRT with regards to auto trading?
Are PRT actively working right now to enable IB auto trading at some point in the future?
If so, can you give us an approximate timeframe for this?
Thanks,
Finning

This was due for 2020. And not as in “planned in 2017 to have it finished in 2020” but as in “it is about ready to go” (this was Jan/Feb 2020).
What came in between is Brexit and the very related residing of IB in the UK which had to move (to Ireland / Luxembourg / (and I think) Hungary.
Notice that the relation with IB regarding my last sentence is one of legislation combined with responsibility (e.g. IG is responsible for you making a mistake and losing money, while PRT could be blamed for wrong PRT-program-code (like a Stop not working or something like that). The transition (or move) of IB is almost finished (as far as I can see that), but that does not mean that Autotrading is now a first priority. We have some V11 bugs to solve, Nicolas’ Market Place will be earlier and there is another higher priority thing to apply prior to when AutoTrading can happen.
Additionally it is so that Autotrading via PRT-IB is to be thoroughly tested. Let’s say that I am a chosen one to do that (I have an IB account) and I can tell you that this has not yet begun. And no date set at this moment that I heard (last year a date for that was set all right). At least IB-Brexit has to be finished completely and this is not the case yet.

01/26/2021 at 8:17 PM #159535Hi PeterSt, thanks for the update. Better to see some movement, than none at all I guess. So by the looks of it, a couple of years away then. Would be great if they also incorporate a lot of IBs order types-sell at close etc, and wouldnt a callable bid/ask be nice too.
That’s ok-its just good to know what is going on. I hope PRT make good on this and go down this road, could only be a good thing for them, and a lot of people.
