Hello Guys,
Recently my live strategies stopped without sending me the email notification I have set up.
One of my strategies had still an open trade (ghost trade) without stoploss in it even though I chose in the settings to close all trades if a strategy stops of any reason.
That is the second time in live trading that I have a ghost trade in my account. The first time I got at least the email notification that my strategy stopped so I logged in and handled the position manually. Both incidents happened within a week. I had never issues before like that in live trading. It happened in Demo before but I thought Demo has not a high priority as I have read in the forum here quite often.
I send an email to PRT but they didnt find a answer yet.- No email notifation of stopped strategy
- No closing of open position if strategy stops (even though it is selected in the setting)
That is very frustrating that those issues appear in live trading as well now.
I know that happend for a lot of you guys in Demo so far but did it happen for you as well in Live?
Best regards

That cost traders a lot of money and is very risky.
It seems PRT has a lot of problems at the moment. The platform became super slow especially for backtest and optimisation.
05/28/2019 at 1:12 PM #99595It might be worth checking all devices that you pick up emails on as I was once swearing at the platform for not sending me an email and then later found out that it had come through first on my girlfriends phone and she deleted it without telling me and so then it was never seen on any other devices. It all depends on how you have your email handling set up I guess. Worth checking.

I noticed a severe reduction in backtest and optimisation performance around the 07/05. I asked @Nicolas to assist in looking into possible bugs that crept into the last engine update. Hopefully, he will have an answer from PRT for us soon.

Waiting still for their answer. On top of the slow platform performance, the software is crashing quiete often while I do optimisation. That is very annoying.
05/28/2019 at 5:56 PM #99617I noted the Platform as being very slow over the last week or two during optimisation, so slow that I couldn’t wait and so I optimise often over 10k bars only.
Also doing odd things like taking a long time to show the first few rows then another long wait for a few more rows.
I have not reported it as, well … what’s new?
Also above is using the Demo Platform so, well … who listens?
I’m hoping all this will be behind us when / if we ever get v 11!!??
05/28/2019 at 9:03 PM #99627I really hope PRT can roll-back their last update made approximately 6 May, there definitely broke more than what was fixed.
If anyone from the PRT team reads this please consider rolling back your last update 🙁
Backtesting on all my accounts (Demo and Live) is unbearably slow, especially for complex codes using MTF. And even more concerning is the fact that it appears certain arithmetic functions are failing. In some of my more complex strategies, I have found counter variables to be resetting and causing havoc in my position management algorithms.

Could you please send the account number of your live account to contact@prorealtime.com and indicate in this mail when you have sent your last technical report via the live account platform mentioning your issue?
I will then contact the technical teams.
Best regards,
Ulrike

I have to admit it is really not satisfying.“The strategy has been stopped because of an external event which is for example a manual order placed on a strategy or any other incident placed by the broker on your strategy.
In your case it seems that IG sent an incorrect information which caused the cancellation of a stop and as a consequence of this external event the strategy stopped.
When a system is stopped due to an external event the client’s settings (whether or not to keep pending orders or open positions) are not respected.”Best regards
06/05/2019 at 6:43 AM #99975There is some irony in the fact that you have a strategy that is stopped on your live account when you don’t want it it be and yet I have been trying to get a load of phantom trades closed on three demo accounts for weeks and no one stops them!
