Just want to state am having loads of issues today – the issue with IG not having updated charts since Friday’s close until 7AM GMT this morning – the outage PRT’s end an hour or so ago resulting in demo and live strategies erroring out/no charts loading etc. – was able to access AutoTrading after closing/reopening but no data loading for certain chart timeframes in either live or demo PRT so unable to run backtests or live strategies

Submitted support requests via PRT and now half an hour or so later am able to load some charts but not all timeframes

Don’t know if this is specific to my account or system wide but is getting very frustrating trying to do any work…

    Hello Max,

There was a connection issue yesterday around 13h (Paris time). The problem was resolved a few minutes later.

Please note that ProRealTime’ s architecture is redundant: ProRealTime has access to two separate datafeeds and data centers in order to minimize this kind of issues and to ensure continuity of services.

We remain at your disposal if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

    Maria

    Hi Maria

Many thanks for the reply – turns out my issues are to do with my ISP (the ‘loads of issues’ – not the outage of PRT) in that they seem to be somehow interfering with the data feeds as it is hit and miss loading charts for different timeframes in PRT (I am in Asia staying in an apartment with dedicated highspeed cable internet)

Worked through it all with IG support yesterday and have had to resort to using a VPN in order to bypass whatever it is the ISP is doing to cause this – bit of a pain but am very glad to report all seems to be working well since doing this

    Thanks

    Max

Just in case anyone comes across this with similar issues – seems the VPN was not the solution as after having flushed the DNS (ipconfig /flushdns) due to another issue with my email when using the VPN PRT has since been working perfectly fine again

It all started when the PRT outage occurred so assume my machine still had bad IP’s for PRT servers is my best guess – anyway it is working fine now and do not need the VPN anymore!
