Minimum ordersize fluctuates during day?

  an obervastion on wallstreet 2$ in demo.

  I had a code running with positionsize 0.5 in profit. Then suddenly orders are getting rejected and after 3 times the strategy is stopped. I restarted the strategy but now orders are getting rejected because the minimum requirement is positionsize 1 suddenly.

  Never heard of that. So the strategy that was already running with 0.5 contract as a position size suddenly stop with this error?

  It looks like minimum distance requirements for pending orders, which can be a few pips normally, up to 300 at night or when there’s high volatility.

  yes exactly. I restarted it once or twice since but hasn’t taken new trades since 16:05 (got email) it stopped again. IG on their website indicated that the minimum-size was 0.5

  I copied&paste the live demo code directly into an empty strategy to compare.

  (sorry i posted that screenshot on 1€ instead of 2$ but for the backtest doesn’t matter)

  I’ve had a few over the past few weeks (running fine for many months) stopped with the Rejection message … Position Size below minimum etc.

  It happened to me a year ago when I started a DAX 1€ live trading system on Sunday. On Monday morning, it was halted because the position size (0.5 contracts) was too low (minimum size was 1 contract at this time). I called IG and they said that something may have changed over the week-end. Later the same day, the trading system worked well again with 0.5 contracts after a restart.

  Since this day, I start all my systems with position sizes below 1 contract on Monday morning after 8 a.m. and the problem has never occured again.
