Personally I don’t think the checkboxes issue is the cause here, but anyway this is what JS was referring to :

Otherwise it is quite easy to delete things from that “checkboxes” functionality, especially if you are not comfortable with using them. Thus, accidentally tick such a checkbox, do whatever you planned to do and meanwhile what you checked may come along with it (depending-on).
When you need the checkboxes they are indeed very powerful, but when you don’t need them they are dangerous.
As said (I think) this issue has been resolved. But it may have been active at the time you accidentally used them, Bard.
