I have launched the following strategy in demo on the DJI daily in all three of my platforms (one PRT sponsored IG account and two IG direct accounts) to see if any trades are opened.

I just tried and my SB Platform min Lot size is 1 Contract on DJI.
On CFD (Cash $2) it goes red with exclamation mark then it does go white again with 0.5 (unlike on SB where it will not show 0.5 in white text!).

Strangely I have just noticed that one strategy that (unusually for me) trades on the DJI 15 min has a first trade position size of 0.5 but was trading position sizes of 1.0 prior to the IG server crash. It then suffered two open trades that IG closed by mistake when they were supposed to fixing a bug with another strategy. After this the strategy started trading at 0.5 position size!
This is a different issue that I don’t really want to dilute my non trading strategies issue with at the moment but I will send a report in on it when this issue is solved.

I was suggesting doing a manual trade to / show prove to yourself that the min is 1 not 0.5?
Anyway I just did a 1 min Auto-System and it opened a trade on DJI at 0.5 Lot size so clearly it is allowed (but not on manual trades … weird!?).
09/04/2018 at 8:43 PM #7978809/05/2018 at 7:32 AM #79795The results of my overnight test to see if any of my demo platforms can automatically open an end of day position at market resulted in none of the platforms opening a trade. There are no rejected orders in the order lists either.
Something is not working correctly at either IG or PRT.

09/06/2018 at 7:25 AM #7985109/06/2018 at 7:38 AM #79854I had news about this..
The problem is the same for all of your accounts. ITF have already analyzed and responded to IG for this concern.
A fix should be pushed in production, it will then be necessary to restart the strategies to no longer have this concern. This only impacts strategies using daily or higher TF.

09/19/2018 at 2:10 PM #80896So Vonasi, do your backtest results now match your demo trades? Because I’m now noticing many missing trades in demo vs backtesting (where they used to match very well)…
09/19/2018 at 2:51 PM #80907No. This major issue has not been fixed yet. My demo platforms across three accounts have not opened any end of day or end of week trades for 40 days now. Ever since the IG server crash.
In addition in the last two days I have found five orphaned trades that had opened on two shorter time frame strategies in two different platforms. They were shown as being under ProOrder control but were not and should have been closed out but weren’t. I have sent reports about everything but nothing has been resolved yet. I have even resorted to posting on the IG Community forum to try to get some progress.
PRT say it is an IG issue and IG say it is a PRT issue – the usual thing. As it happened after the IG server shut down and IG have little interest in demo support I think I know who I believe but I am happy to be proved wrong just as long as everything is fixed!
I am not usually known for my patience and this is pushing it to the limit. I am considering giving up demo testing and taking up knitting instead.
