Hi all,
Now that I have seen the HomePage of JuanJ, I got an idea.
- JuaJ is full-time trader it means that somehow is autonomus i.e. he is a professional
- Sure JuaJ have more that 2 year of trading CFD often
Then it means that he has 2 of 3 requirement for a profesional and get the normal margins we used to have !!!! or not?
… what if I open my own Company for Investment… even if it is very small ? then it can continue having the small margins!! or?
Have someone else though about this Kind of work-around?
08/03/2018 at 12:39 PM #77469The size of the trades that you have placed to be qualified as professional is very large and I doubt anyone on here has traded that large regularly. The amount you have to have in your portfolio is something like half a million and so unless he has very deep pockets I think Juanj will only qualify on one count still.

I think everyone starts on a limited risk account now unless you can prove that you are a serious trader. Even already having a standard account for several years already does not qualify you for one when opening an additional account. There does not seem to be any rules set in stone as to what is required to get a standard account so I suspect that it will probably be similar to ‘professional status’. IG got a lot of bad press a while back for letting accounts get into massive negative equity so I think they are now keen to have everyone on ‘limited risk’. It might be worth a phone call to ask what the requirements are to upgrade to standard and if you find out do let us all know!

Everyone can compare different countries IG accounts here:

Full time Traders (who I imagine that pays taxes as a freelance) are not suitable to apply to proffesional trading???
Have someone try to found his own fiscal entity ( a Company) for trading with better conditions?
Thanks in advance
