I have converted my time zone to New York close, which is currently UTC + 3. It seems that any candle between 1 hour and daily still displays as UTC +1 For example the daily candle rolls over correctly at UTC + 3, (and all 1 hour candles display as UTC + 3) but the 4 hour candles roll over at 0200, 0600, 1000, 1400, 1800 and 2200 in the UTC + 3 setting. (6, 8 and 12 hour candles are similarly afflicted.) This is a 2 hour variance from all 4 hour candles that display on MT4 platforms set to NY close. Also it means that Proscreener works off these incorrect candles. Anyone got any suggestions/ideas about this? I have been in correspondence with PRT for some months about the issue but not getting any resolution or information. Very recently it was acknowledged there was a problem here, but I still cannot get anyone to verify or not whether this is likely to be fixed in V10.3 when it is issued. Any one with any ideas or info on this matter?

I got the UTC time wrong in my initial posting (was still using daylight saving time here in Oz), New York close is currently UTC + 2 and candles on timeframes greater than 1 hour are displaying as UTC + 0

04/30/2016 at 11:39 AM #6251If I understand correctly, you’d like to change at what time the candlesticks begin their “construction”? This is not possible.
For every market, midnight is the official time used as a reference for candlesticks construction. If you change the UTC shift, the candlesticks would be exactly the same, and be displayed (shifted) at different time accordingly to your time shift.
I don’t think it’s the answer you expected for your problem though 🙂
05/01/2016 at 8:14 AM #6281This is my point….. if I have UTC + 2 set as my default time frame, then surely candles would/should begin their “construct” at midnight of the UTC + 2 time zone. However, intra day > 1 hour do not. The 4 hour for example start their “construct” at 0200 then 0600, 1000, etc which is still UTC = 0 based. There is a candle displayed that opens 2 hours before midnight UTC + 2 and closes 2 hours after midnight UTC + 2. However, the daily candle DOES rollover at midnight of UTC + 2, and of course the hourly candles display as UTC + 2 i.e oooo is given for the first hourly candle displayed starting at midnight of UTC + 2. When the daily rolls over at Midnight UTC + 2 (which it does correctly), and the first hourly candle of the new “day” starts at 0000 (again correctly), we are half way through, or 2 hours into, a 4 hour candle, i.e the 4 hour is NOT aligned to UTC + 2. As mentioned, this discrepency is for any time frame greater than 1 hour, like 6, 8, or 12 hour time frames, they are all “out” by 2 hours.
06/09/2016 at 11:34 PM #9154Interesting, it seems you have got your daily candles rolling over at a different time to the default UTC time. How did you do this, that is something I have been trying to do and I have not succeded compleatly. I have got the daily candle rolling over at 10pm UK time but in doing this I have lost a great deal of historic price data on the charts (FX pairs). I also have my situation explained in a post under my name. Any information that you could give in getting the daily candle rolling over at a non default time and still keep all the previous historic price data woulds be a great help.
If Nicolas has any info/help on this I would appreciate it also.
Thanks
