Since it released, ive tried on different times, multiple days, incase was just bug problem the initial release that the software guys hadnt tested yet. But the issue is still occurring.
As per what it states:
“an error occurred in a program run by this package, which causes the installation to fail. Please contact the software manufacture”
Current system:
MacookAir
M1 Apple Processor
macOS Ventura 13.1

I had the same problem. I did the following.
1 I rebooted an older Intel install package.
2 It prompted an upgrade to the latest Intel version which I did
3 Ran that and a pop-up appeared in the top right corner with a link offering to upgrade to the M1 version. Clicked on the M1 link and it downloaded properly and ran.
Prior to this, I reset all the java settings in System Preferences on my M1 mac mini running Big Sur.
Hope this helps. The program is now running lightning-fast.

01/18/2024 at 6:03 PM #226537Hi,
Did you have to install ‘Rosetta’ on your MBP running M1?
I can’t install on my new MBP (M2 Pro)… I had an older MBP (2017, running Intel) and PRT was ok on that but now need to move to newer machine and stuck. Not sure how to progress – don;t want to install Rosetta as that defeats the objective of having dedicated software for new chips. I managed to install Intercative Broker TWS, MicroSoft Office and other software specifically for the new Apple Processor but having problems with ProReal Time.
Any idea how to fix, please?
01/22/2024 at 8:46 PM #226736You might want to try reinstalling the ProRealTime Launcher, specifically the version for the Apple(M) processor. You can find it here: ProRealTime Launcher for Apple processor (make sure to choose the right download for the Apple processor). This could also help in resolving the issue.
01/22/2024 at 9:59 PM #226738Hi,
I did exactly that. The link was sent to me by ProReal Time Sales Team…
When I click the right hand side icon (“Apple Processor”), it prompts me to download Rosetta. My understanding is that a dedicated (Apple processor) app should run natively without any “mid-layer” software (which adds unnecessary overhead).
I downloaded Apple-processor specific software for interactive broker, MicroSoft Office, VPN, etc with no issues. Just PRT that’s causing issues.
Out of interest, if you click the Apple Processir icon (right hand side) does it prompt you to download Rosetta?
thanks for your input
01/23/2024 at 10:03 AM #226746Hi! Yes, unfortunately, you need to download and install Rosetta; there is currently no other way to make the ProRealTime Launcher work with Apple processors. For an explanation with more information, please see the official Apple Support page: If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac.
