Hi there!
I’m new to the platform, but I’m really happy with what I’ve tested so far.
However, I’m struggling to find a way to see after hours price for Nasdaq. I’m paying for real time data. And I do see premarket price.
But can’t find a way to see after hours price either on my lists or the actual price chart. Is that not available?
Thanks!
01/17/2021 at 12:06 PM #158144We need to understand more clearly what you are wanting to see?
Can you see out of hours data on other than NASDAQ?
Attached in the yellow sqiggle line is overnight data for NASDAQ … can you not see the same?
Attached image 2 are my Timezone settings … what are yours set at?
01/17/2021 at 8:30 PM #158193Thanks GraHal.
- Issue #1: As per your first screenshot. I can’t see extended hours range on my price chart. I can only see price from 9.30 to 16.00 (Nasdaq regular trading hours). Screenshot attached
- Issue 2: Time zones & trading hours. Please find attached how it’s set up. But it does not give me an option to select premarket hours (4:00 am to 9:30 am) nor after hours (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm )
- Issue 3: On the “lists” window, I can see real time price for pre-market sessions (“last” field on my attached screenshot). But I can’t see after hour price.
Thanks!
01/17/2021 at 9:24 PM #158202Traste, No pre-/postmarket trading possible with PRT yet. But that will be there very soon.
I think I see that this is PRT-Direct (IBKR), right ? you can trade Pre-/Postmarket via TWS; this is integrated with PRT sufficiently well.
Otherwise watch for these colored little balls (see attachment, a red one). This shows current pre-market prices. I can’t show you a Stock one at this time. They will be Yellow from of tomorrow 10:00 (09:00 UK). And they will move up and down until 15:30 (14:30).
If I got you wrongly, apologies.
Peter01/17/2021 at 9:33 PM #158204Thanks PeterST. I’m not talking about trading through PRT. I just use for analysis/visual purposes.
What I don’t understand is why I can see premarket price (check my third image above) but no after hours price in real time. I will email support and see.
01/17/2021 at 10:00 PM #158205Please find attached how it’s set up.
Have you tried with settings like I posted above … 00:00 to 00:00 … at UTC +1 / your Timezone?
You have enabled … Use diffeent timeszones for different markets … and so your settings (that you show in the image you posted) make it so you only see data during market hours?
Enable as attached at red arrowhead and let us know what you then see.

If your broker does not make a 24 hour market then how are you expecting to see 24 hour prices??
I am with IG and they make 24 hour markets in 1000’s of instruments.
01/18/2021 at 10:34 AM #158245I don’t understand what my broker has to do with this question.
Your broker provides your data. If they don’t give you something then you can’t see it!
01/18/2021 at 10:47 AM #158246GraHal, I’m expecting to see 24 hours prices because I’m paying the PRT extra cost for real time data (check attached image). Please read what I stated before: I don’t use PRT to trade with IG/IB, just as a visual tool.
Vonasi, same response: my broker has nothing to do with this.
As I told you before, I can see real time price for pre-market hours (because I pay for that), but not for after hours trading session, which is weird. Why only show data for pre-opening and not for after close?
Cheers,

I may be wrong but above means that you are paying for prices at a lower timeframe than Daily so you are paying for intraday prices.
Intraday prices does not mean 24 hour prices it means when ptices are available in the day then you will get those prices.
Is it possible that your broker provides pre market prices but does not provide post marker prices??
Premarket prices are arguabley less risky to provide (by a broker) as the broker can then see what prices 24 hour market providers have been posting.
Post market prices are more risky because as soon as the market closes then a broker would have to post a price … like the next second after the market closes.
Just a few thoughts anyway.
Have you asked your broker if he privides post market prices?
Where do you think the post market prices you want to see will come from if not from your broker??
01/18/2021 at 11:56 AM #158261Vonasi, same response: my broker has nothing to do with this.
Your broker has everything to do with it. They provide the data and PRT just display it on their platform. The platform can only display what your broker sends to them. They choose to send a little bit of pre-market data and no after market data by the sound of it.
01/18/2021 at 11:59 AM #158262In the event that you are Direct to Exchange prices (no broker involved ) then the above comment re Real Time and Intraday still applies … you will only see prices that are provided from wherever / whoever you are trading with.
