Hi everyone,
When I run one of my strategy codes, backtesting is fine but when it is live on demo account when it triggers to go long or short, the order would be rejected with this error message: “no site type exists for epic + locale combination”, the strategy stops and RTP put it in the “NOT Running” codes. Does anyone here know what is that error code?
Thanks in advance for your help.

What market are you trying to trade?
It is likely that the market doesn’t exist for your country.
I can’t think of an example, but pick the next market down in the list (or up)… with exact same name even as it probably will have a different epic code.
Yeah it’s coming back to me now, I had the same Issue as you are having.

Thank you for your reply.
I have got the rejected order on BitCoin market and IG in UK support it. It happens on the Live Demo account. As far as I know for cryptocurrencies IG market is open 24/7 and the error of the rejected orders should not be because today is Saturday and the Market is closed.

I guess that is why then??
The error message is not always the most logical / accurate.

Thank you for your reply.
As far as I know the market for crypto currencies with IG is 24/7. Also right now I made an order on Bitcoin on my Demo account manually, it went through, confirmed and it is on my open positions.
Any idea what the error message” no site type exists for epic + locale combination” means?
Thanks

Yeah it means what I said earlier … the market you selected is not valid for where you live.
I know this as I queried it with IG about 2 years ago. 🙂
