Yes sometimes trades like this happens. Though I’m pretty sure that DAX will go down in the nearest future.
However the Live account was closed 1@1678.1 due to ONCE maxCandlesShortWithoutProfit = 12. If we count the candle it matches 12, but my backtest has keept the trade. Perhaps, and I need to ask Reiner- is it because if the 12th. candle is without profit, it will close the trade, or is it 12 candle in a row with no profit we exit? I cannot explain why the backtest keeps the trade other than perhaps this?

01/11/2017 at 7:55 PM #20781@Reiner, About the CFTA gridorder trade. Yes it a great piece of code- however it’s missing the automated part- so in fact I already tested it a lot on Pathfinder 😀
But the two systems are fundamental different- and I concluded that Gridorder and Pathfinder was not to be merged. CFTA gridorder keeps a strict 1% loss of equity for all trades and adjust this accordingly when adding new positions, and it just kills pathfinder unless you change the whole strategy. I think one could do so, but then it wouldn’t be pathfinder, and I was not able to make it profitable in my attempt when still keeping the fundamentals of pathfinder. So I decided like so many else that Pathfinder strategy is great like it is. 🙂 One thing come in mind is the 0 bar profit. CFTA is based on 1 sec- 1 min TF- because then we could see the gridorder was working in backtest. Pathfinder is 4H TF this could also be the reason I was not able to merge the two systems, but now with prt 10.3 perhaps it would be another result.
One of pathfinders success I think is due to rather large SL so nothing is stopped out, and a prediction of were the market is going. But it also has it disadvantage like I wrote about before- there is sometimes a big risk in each trade. Nothing wrong with that, People just need to be aware of what they are risking and trading.
But my conclusion was for the the gridorder part and before prt 10.3. I haven’t thought about only implementing the trailing part and perhaps it would be beneficiary to the pathfinder system, because One mechanism to minimise the large risk at times, could be the trailing stop. It sure is worth a try. There is a couple of thing in the post. Nicolas BBEXIT- which I think could do some good here.
When I do find the time I’d like to give it a shot. Perhaps this weekend:-)

Have you already checked in PRT: the order list followed by the automatic trading tab
If you see there in the column status: rejected at 17 o’clock than at least PRT tried to close it.
You can also check:
Maybe one of the errors or conditions apply.
increasing positionsize: I assume it is for DAX 4H V6….
Got to “positionsize” (line 24) and change it into 4
If you check your BT it should be around 4 times the original.
