Shortcuts to workspaces has totally stopped saving, possibly since yesterday when I added a few workspaces and created new shortcuts. I haven’t done this in a while so it might have stopped working earlier but I without me taking notice.
I have tried 3 different scenarios for a number of times today:
- Only restart PRT
- Shutdown the browser (in case it somehow has to do with PRT caching)
- Rebooted my computer.
In all scenarios my Workspace Shortcuts are gone when i start PRT.

To (permanently) delete shortcuts for Workspaces, do as shown in the video (it appears to stop at one point but watch until the end).
The mouse pointer jumping up and down at one point while on Save is to emphasize that you must save your changes in that screen by using the Save button in that screen then also go File > Quit > Save on Exit.

You need to do the saving as shown in the video link above … you must save your changes in that screen by using the Save button in that screen

Hi GraHal – That link mentions an email request for access to your (??) Google Drive. I sent that request but nothing happens so far.
The screenshot below tells that I will be sent “an” email to “an” address. It may have nothing to do with you, but I can’t proceed with that anyway.I examined the forms in that “shortcut” area for buttons I overlooked, but nothing. Maybe a screenshot will help us ?

01/31/2024 at 5:19 PM #227191GraHal, assumed you are correct and this is will help (we must see later about that but I have good hopes), this is where PRT’s culprit lays :
If one starts with Manage Templates (I showed that this morning) then one arrives at this very same form you END WITH. If one then clicks the wrench one comes in your shown screen with the red crosses. See 2nd screenshot to be sure. In there, one unchecks everything and then one will NOT go back to that form one just came from, because why. See the mouse pointer in that 2nd screenshot which YOU logically use. But not me, because I came from there.
But indeed, the Save button is in that first form I showed. So it looks like we must always go back in there and find that save button (and use it).Again to be sure that there are no misunderstandings, see the 3rds screenshot. That is what I logically use to finish this up.
I had already quite some times deliberated that the save I always applied on the platform, would be at a “wrong level” or so, because you would be saving these removed (or set) shortcuts for all the templates at the same time. And so it thus is. The save button you use, save explicitly these settings, indeed for all the templates at the same time.

If you not want these notifications what is the problem with unticking them??
they keep on popping up on new triggers, also tomorrow etc.).
If notifs are enabled then they will keep popping up (popping in from the side?) each time a strategy Starts, Stops or Fails .
I must be misunderstanding you?

Hi GraHal. Please read back on this. You are mixing up the two issues. I DO want notifications, but THOSE always get unticked. But today must be the 6th trading day in a row that these sustained now. So what you see below is GOOD.
And for clarity, the issue here is that at random these checkboxes get unticked. The Do or Don’t showing of Notifications is always consistent with the checkboxes. Thus the issue is that the settings (the being ticked) get removed – again at random.
PS: It is a bit of a pity that these “6 days or so” coincide with the last update of the platform, while I thus also ~ 6 days or so unticked the voice telling profit or loss at the exit, hoping that that would solve this issue.
It is a psychological messy thing because I do want these notifications and I thus check for the settings to be as I want after each startup (unless I forget to do that). With that, one keeps on trying different settings in there which all could be related. I am doing that for a year in a row now … Nothing helps, unless I now coincidentally found the culprit (the voice about profit/loss) or that PRT solved it after all.
The physical means PRT uses to save elements is whack. True, within the platform as a whole it is all quite complex (I am serious) but the way to save changes in e.g. a database or data files (.ini and such) or whatever is used for which, is totally undecent. If it were decent, these issues would not sustain from each and every angle imaginable. I bet you that together with other users we are able to find over 50 issues of not saving (or randomly restoring which to me is the same). I alone will be able to cough up 45. Saving the workspace and later saving upon “Quit” is what I always do and have done during these tests. That is not the problem for me in v11.
Accidentally I did discover what my problem was and it has to do with Default Workspaces.
When you make changes and save them you have to have a workspace marked as “Default Workspace” active (see attached file).
It doesn’t matter which one (you can have several Default workspaces for some reason), the changes will then be to all your workspaces, Default or not.
During my tests I also discovered that Saving upon Quit is not needed if you already manually did “Save” on your workspace.
Also, rebooting my computer did not have any impact on this during all my testing, it was just a pattern that I thought I had noticed.
Again take note that the above is for v11 with IG, I don’t know if it has any bearing on v12.

02/01/2024 at 11:02 AM #227228May it help someone … See the 2nd line – greyed out (in below picture) – I have not/never set this account as/to/with a Default Workspace. Also, I never started this account on another PC.
It is V12, but it was transferred from V11. I put this in bold because quite some issues spring from such a conversion, which even can be done more than once on request. This too happened for this account.I have the feeling that once things go wrong with the conversion as the source (which in itself can not even be proven), it will never reset to normal again.
