    Hi,

Whenever I load many candles in Proorder  ( ~50,000-100.000)  and then try to change to another workspace, it does not load the new one and just the menu bar appears without any chart. Nor can I go back to the previous workspace. I have to exit PRT and re-enter to make it work. Is that normal? Could it be a memory problem? I have PRT 10.3  and 8 GB of memory.

    Thx

It is a big annoyance that lots of use have experienced in various guises where the Platform frezzes up and we have to crash out using Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

I have noticed that when RAM against PRT > 2GB then actions on the Platform get slower and I generally Exit and Save at that point to prevent a complete freeze up!

    EDIT

Thanks, I’ve had no crashes or freezes yet but it certainly slows down when testing over 50k candles, maybe there are memory management issues in  Proorder, it seems to hog all the available RAM and then some more to do its thing and it won’t release it unless you exit the program ! I will try to increase my RAM to 12 or 16Gb and see if it improves.

Please report back on the results of your RAM increase.

I just upgraded my RAM to 16GB and the issue seems to be solved… I can load up to 200k candles, run proorder , go back and forth between workspaces , etc. Definitely  ProOrder seems to be a memory hog and the more RAM the better. 16Gb seems to be OK for testing 100-200k candles. I just wonder how much RAM ProOrder v11 will demand when loading 1,000,000 candles!

I’m intrigued … how did you  get the extra RAM so quick (few hours)?

Keep us updated if the good stuff continues or the bad stuff comes back!?

Might be a run (shortage) on RAM supplies now! 🙂
