I don’t think there is a “space” limitation for each user on the remote server. Of course there is a limit for how much indis/TS you can have in the platform, but I’m far from it (282 TS at the moment), but I do not want to make the thing you did! OMG don’t even tell me to export all TS on my disk .. clicking on TS button, export, choose directory, save, again and again .. no way! 🙂
02/09/2017 at 4:37 PM #24504@Nicolas You’re right it was a very very boring time, and also in the process before I exported I ran each individual ATS on it’s optimised TF and then saved in folders for respective gain/ loss ratio … 0 to 1, 1 to 1.5, 1.5 to 2 … up to > 3.
The above exercise helped me to see that lots of ATS I had running / ‘stored not running’ were not good performers!
I have for several days now been conducting another (boring) exercise … getting the last 500 executed orders for 200 ATS onto excel! IG provided PRT users can drag and drop 100 rows only so I printed max 500 rows to pdf (and tried ‘virtual text printers’ etc etc) then trialled 4 different pdf to xls converters … none worked 100%!
So I have just finshed another method … filter by ‘discrete strings re system name’ and drag and drop 100 rows at a time onto excel. There are overlaps / duplicates so I used excel Filter, Advanced for unique records only. I now have my ‘wifes account’ to do! 🙂
I will pivot and analyse performance … this part will be more interesting! From hereon, I only need to drage & drop new Orders each day to keep the excel up to date!
SORTED!
GraHal02/11/2017 at 2:09 PM #24787@Algotrader as you mentioned it above, you seen what the opto variable Tab has now … the option to leave variable settings in the window / tab as is and click a fixed value box. I always found myself entering the same values for various variables and I was going to suggest they … well did what they’ve done … check it out … it’s good!

02/21/2017 at 2:50 PM #25920Don’t know for sure if this next one is a bug or a desired feature, I think it’s a bug…
My indicators have a saved default setting so that I don’t have to redefine all colors and lines and dots styles each time I install them in a window in any workspace. I modified one of my personal indicators, adding one variable in the return line, then defined the color and style setting of this latest variable and saved the new default setting for the whole indicator. Also saved the workingspace and turned off PRT and PC. Next day, inside the same working space my indicator could be installed and reinstalled at will with its new default setting inside this same working space, but when switching working space the default setting wasn’t available. Looks like a bug rather than a choice to me, because in v10.2 I’m pretty sure a personal indicator default setting was valid for any working space, not just the one it was “first” saved into.
03/15/2017 at 7:44 PM #28695One serious error here. When Demo Trading your developed strategy. A strategy that many properly spend endless hours to develop and perfect. So now we want to test it in a live demo- it fails to record the correct trades.
Here I have my turtle trade strategy. All positions are closed. I have no position open in DAX for the turtletrade strategy. The Proorder displays the correct loss, yet the performance window displays open position and Gains- live- running. how is this even possible?? I have no open positions.

03/15/2017 at 8:07 PM #28699And here the opposite. Trades are somewhat more correct calculated with gains and positions are live, but the Proorder window shows a staggering loss of 117438,00 Euro in just 2 days.
03/15/2017 at 8:23 PM #28704@ Elsborgtrading – I have this exact situation happen to me on many systems (in fact occurring on one as we speak). I sent a error ticket to the helpdesk 2 weeks ago and they came back with the extremely unhelpful solution “Please exit PRT and open it up again”……
Of course, the error does not occur again if you do that but the fact remains that there is a bug. I am guessing by their response they really mean to say “We don’t why it’s happening but since it goes away by rebooting PRT we don’t think it’s worth spending time on investigating”. To be honest I can understand that as there is other more critical stuff that should get priority but I am always nervous when there is a bug as it could very well influence some part of the system if left unchecked. In this case, we just have to live with it.
P.S – I have another bug at the moment happening live where the same trades keeps reappearing as executed each hour with a CURRENT timestamp (but with historic price levels) and appears in the order list window even though it was taken 18hrs ago. But my net position in open positions does not change, it remains the same as 18hrs ago….. There are a few like this !
03/15/2017 at 9:04 PM #2870503/15/2017 at 11:37 PM #28719Yeah, that multiple fake execution bug started today in the morning. But since then, every hour on the hour PRT tells me that 2 trades have been executed that hour – when in fact nothing has happened at all – it’s a bug in Live and Demo so a platform issue rather than a specific one. Let see what happens at midnight today, maybe it was a 24hr version of the Millenium bug…..:-)
03/16/2017 at 12:41 AM #28724I have created at ticket as well, so lets see what they will say.
I am becoming more and more convinced that IG/PRT does not want you to develop good strategies, because why should they- if you lose all you money it ending up in their pocket- they are not your friends. Just know that. Also the difference in demo SL/spreads is ridiculous different. in demo all my strategies will be profitable, but changing it to the minimum SL and spread in Live account- forget it.
I am so annoyed that I already cancelled the PRT account, and Thinking about doing it with the IG one as well.
03/16/2017 at 9:26 AM #2873703/16/2017 at 12:24 PM #28751In the price chart window- when I place a marked sell order, and a bit later place a market buy order. Sell order is not cancelled when force open is disabled.
It works from the order book though.
Edit: I found out it’s because of the already placed SL and TP orders- but this is normal behaviour?
cheers Kasper

Thanks:-)
