I wondering a little bit about this copy protection feature of PRT. When I export something (for example an indicator) I’m given 3 options. The last of this three options says that the file unique and can only be imported once. Does this mean if I export a file with this option and then duplicate the file, are this two files somehow linked? So if one persons installs the first file on his/her platform will then the other person be able to install the file on his/her computer?

That would mean that the file can be copied but that it becomes unusable after it has been imported once. So every duplicate will just work once for import or is it this way that when user 1 installs the file the file from user 2 automatically get unusable because user 1 installed it?

But if I think a little bit about it it should be that way that every file works once no matter how many duplicates exist. Can anybody confirm this?

I assume PRT compiles and encrypts all strategies assigning them a unique ID (numerical, alphabetic, random….) and since all strategies run on the same server, once you export them so that they can be imported only once this means that NO other copies may be running!

You can make as many backup copies as you wish, but only ONE should run on PRT servers!

Of course I don’t know if this is true or not, but I assume it is, otherwise… what the hell!!!

You were right. I gave it a try and it really only works once per file.
