04/30/2017 at 5:33 PM #3404805/02/2017 at 7:19 PM #34310Been having similar problems and only recently (last few weeks)
Always used Chrome on 64bit Win10 machine but not 100% certain if 64 or 32 bit java being used when PRT launches as both are installed (but have in the last few days restricted it in control panel to only use 64bit/see how we go)
It is as if all the ‘pop-ups’ within PRT are affected – sometimes when I open PRT I am unable to view a strategy performance for example – I click but nothing happens – which is when I realise things are not right and try to quit but the File menu doesn’t display properly – only one or two of the multiple menu options show – when/if QUIT appears I click but nothing happens
Other things I have noticed like this are when clicking on the ‘new indicator/strategy’ icon in a chart – nothing happens – same goes when I do have a strategy coding window open and backtest it then try to get the detailed report up that I had previously closed – click but nothing
Only way is to kill PRT in the task manager and relaunch and most of the time is ok (until PRT crashes/disappears for no apparent reason and have to open again which as I say has been happening a LOT recently… could well be my end/dunno but I have my suspicions it is to do with the number of running strategies of which I am often maxed out to the allowable 50 in the demo PRT and was up to about 30 in the Live)
Is happening for both live and demo PRT (have both open all day long) but more on the demo I would say hopefully it improves otherwise I have enough to get upset about (trading eh…) if I wanted than worry about this but thought would chip in 🙂
05/03/2017 at 6:43 AM #34363Hi.
Install FireFox 32-bit version. With this you can run Java 32 or 64bit.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
Chose Language, OS and 32 0r 64 bit versions.I dont like Chrome becuse it talks to multiple servers on the internet at the same time. If you have a good firewall setup you will see Chrome does just that.
IE is just out of the question.Do an upgrade of FireFox, all plugins and Java after installation.
FYI: The latest Java version is not always the greatest vesrion. Run an Java version a few releases after latest release or the one that is stable for you.Hope this hels to relieve the pain.

i think its when i go via myIG and open prorealtime directly without open puredeal?
I hope it works without problem when using the new IG platform?
