It was both live and demo for me that were affected – it just so happened I had a live strategy running at the time of the outage which bombed out in PRT/left the trade running at IG – (pleasantly) surprised to hear none of your live strategies were stopped
Yeh I have a bunch of demo strategies running at the mo and one of them is showing a circa £2000+ loss on a single trade over 7 bars (on 1 second timeframe) whereas there is a hard coded £20 stop loss…
You see the exit date on that trade with the 498 bars? it’s prior to the opening date
As for the 2/3 bars – looks like each of the 3 bar trades are going into the next bar by 1 second/guess reason would be along the lines of no trades in final (few) second(s) of the bar would be my guess?
@Vonasi – what’s the sort of back PRT have now? up any different to just manually copying and pasting the code into another app?06/11/2018 at 7:24 AM #72814David – if you do not send a support ticket in then you DEFINITELY will not find a solution. If you do send one in then at least you MIGHT find a solution.
MaxT – see here:

It is not much better than copy and paste but at least it does all of your codes with just a few clicks.
06/11/2018 at 8:20 AM #72829does all of your codes with just a few clicks.
But beware … Systems running / showing in the ProOrder AutoTrading window are NOT copied.
06/11/2018 at 8:41 AM #72831That is a good point GraHal. Quite often I set a strategy running live demo and then later mutate the original into something else. It would be a good idea if the platform checked to see if the strategy was running live when you clicked ‘modify’ and then asked you if you really wanted to modify it.
06/11/2018 at 8:55 AM #72834For the reasons you state above, I try and add v1.0, v1.1 etc for every change, but if I’m tired or annoyed I often forget! 🙁
Also I try and save running versions to my PC in a ‘Trading Now – Live’ folder then delete from the Backtesting Window. I started this after my loss of 100 running Systems a while back (PRT recovered for me) , but even in this I’m not 100% consistent …
I must be more disciplined!
I must be more disciplined!06/11/2018 at 9:09 AM #72836@vonasi thanks for encouraging me to submit a ticket. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do when I don’t get a response?
@MaxT you’re 100% spot on. Some how the trade closed before it opened? It’s a ProBackToTheFutureRealtime!

Well you won’t be any worse off than you are now. It really doesn’t take very long to send a ticket with a brief description and a link to this thread. It might take a while, it might feel like forever and the customer service may seem very poor but if nobody told them about any problems then absolutely nothing would get fixed.
You also have to remember that PRT are a French company. In France life is a little more laid back. Long lunches with red wine before returning to work for the afternoon. With a good work life balance like that you are never going to rival BMW for customer service!
I guess the alternative is to use a different trading platform. If anybody knows of an auto-trading platform out there that has all the features or PRT and is 100% reliable so that you never have to report problems then please let me know which one it is? Oh it needs to be free as well!

I’m guessing that you are referring to your platform costing you $1500 this year? 🙂

I just want to add my voice to people having this issue.
I’ve now repeatedly had the platform freeze and lost multiple strategies.
Following this happening the first time I started making SURE everything is saved, both using Ctrl+S AND closing the strategy code window and saving. This has not worked, unfortunately. I have even lost some strategies which were saved from previous sessions, i.e. I saved them, closed the platform, reopened the platform (they were there and working) and worked on something ELSE which crashed, original strat GONE. Very frustrating losing hours and hours of work.
I think I’ll follow the advice on here of exporting the code on a regular basis.
I’ve submitted a support ticket and am waiting for a response, but judging from the other posts here I shouldn’t hold my breath. Hopefully if we get enough responses they’ll stop brushing it off as a fluke or user error.

@David – hahaha yeh quite and the Einstein quote!
@ET – copy n paste into another app/keep things safe yourself but I’ve been ok since doing FILE -> SAVE then FILE -> QUIT -> YES and reopen – I had the occasional issue long time back like you’ve said where previous strategies disappear but is like chasing shadows trying to fathom out what is going on/wrong let alone trying to convince ITF there is some kind of an issue (but seems perhaps not all of us are experiencing quite the same problems or perhaps we work in PRT in differing ways/length of time etc. dunno)@GraHal – good to hear you’ve had success with ITF recovering strategies which I guess surely means they are getting saved ‘somewhere’…
@Despair – trying to work out what I’ve missed/thought it was the free MatLab stuff you were bravely venturing off into – best of luck with that btw! -
