PRT has been very very slow since yesterday… Everything happens in slow motion and no real work is possible. Despite restarting PRT, restarting the laptop… it doesn’t really help. Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, what can you do about it?
05/21/2024 at 10:49 AM #232857I’m currently seeing that 2 systems are “stopping” and a message “Status rejected by broker” appears every few seconds. What exactly can I do about this? Why don’t these systems just stop? I’ve already tried to close the positions directly via IG, but I also get the message “Forwarding the order is not possible because another order exists”. What do i have to do?

I have – in the past – had ‘stuck Orders / trade exits’ that I had to wait several days and presumably several broker resets to shift them!
I recall once emailing the ‘IG identifying Order / Trade reference’ to IG and asking them to cancel / remove the orphan trade and it got sorted in a few hours during normal office hours.
05/21/2024 at 12:52 PM #232871Thanks for the feedback lads. Food for thought.
Are there any common themes to these events? Is it purely all back-end?
Some of the language used above sounds like ‘cascading failures’, it slows until it breaks kind of thing. If generally slow could be ddos remediation taking place or route re-convergence due to breakages, fatfingers etc
Appreciate the warts and all feedback we have in these threads, they’re a boon for risk-mitigation types or those trying to build a setup that can wear a bit of kicking. Not easy though.
Wish you all good trading … 🙂

Could any one in the EU report back to confirm that perhaps this was maintenance or something seen by you all as well (if awake) or gaps present in DAX (or any charts) for example through that period.
Keen to hear back from fellow APAC punters as well if affected.
Apologies for asking but it could be relevant to the OPs experiences and whether broader remediation was at play in the wee EU hours.
Cheers
