I have been experimenting a bit with the ProScreencer but it seems to give faulty returns.
Even when i program a super-simple screener like “Stoch K > 80” it displays some securities that (for the given TF) Stochastic K is at maybe 40 or 50-ish.
Can it have to do with that i have custom trading hours?
Do you have only “end of day” subscriptions for the stocks you found a problem?
Custom trading hours doesn’t affect ProScreener. Stock screeners will always use the “real” markets trading hours, that’s maybe why you’ll find different results between your customized charts and the screener results.
No i have the proper data, from IG Markets (Sweden). It is updated in real time. BUT i am currently trying out the screener in demo mode, dont know if thats the issue? The instruments are all updated in real time though.
I don´t trade (and therefore don´t screen) individual stocks at all. So this is concerning only DAX, Brent, Dow, Nasdaq and some currencies.
Oh.. I think maybe i misunderstood your answer 😀 “Custom trading hours doesn’t affect ProScreener. Stock screeners will always use the “real” markets trading hours”
So you mean that it will always use 00:00-00:00 hours?
Yes that’s right. Custom trading hours only change the way the chart “looks” and has nothing to deal with code which always use the market time (and not your visual preferences obviously 🙂 ). Hope it is now clear for you?
