I would like to be able to draw two different horizontal lines. One detects price above it and the other detects price below it. However, there is an added complication.
I only want the conditions to be detected when the current OHLC bar closes (if there is such an event) or, is about to close. At a pinch, the conditions test could be done when the next new bar opens, but no later, by looking at the immediately previous bar.
The type of conditions I would like to test might be as follows:-
The horizontal bar is set at a price of, say, 150.00. I want an alarm to be triggered if the current bar (on whatever timeframe) has its low, lower than the value of the horizontal bar, and his its final close value lower than the value of the horizontal bar.
I would also like the system to be able to send an email or push notification when the condition(s) are true.
Is this possible?
My requirement is that I have a number of chart setups that I want to monitor that will confirm if a bar’s close and low are both lower than a certain value that is represented by the positioning of the horizontal bar. One setup detects confirmed highs and the other confirmed lows.
When using on FX trading, if I am waiting for a setup on a 1 or 4-hour bar, I’d like to be able to forget about it, go about my business and get an email/push alert when the setup confirms (or fails). Obviously, any number of bars might form before one confirms a setup.
