Hello,
Is there a way to set the horizontal spacing between candlesticks?
As of today (24/05) all the charts on my saved templates appear “skinny”, and I have to zoom in to make them “full-bodied” again.
It seems the default minimum horizontal spacing between candles has been set to a higher value than previously.
So instead of bunching the candles together, the system switches to the narrower candles.
It’s somewhat annoying, as there’s still a lot of space between candles when the switch happens. So instead of seeing more candles, I’m looking at more empty space.I’ve looked through the settings, but couldn’t find where to change the horizontal spacing between candles.
If someone knows this, could you point me to it, please?Thank you very much for the help.

The second screenshot shows how many it can display now.
(The first screenshot shows narrow candles now. But it’s a saved template, sized to show the maximum number of candles just before the switch happened. Up until yesterday, it used to display this many candles full-bodied)

To better illustrate the problem, I’ve taken a screenshot of my whole desktop. It’s a saved template. It used to display full-bodied candles, now they’re all narrow.
I can zoom-in obviously, which will make the candles full-bodied again, indeed.
The issue is that zoomed-in, only 30% fewer candles can be displayed now than how it used to be. So when I glance at it, I can only see 2 days worth of data, instead of 3.Not a huge issue, and I can work around it.
I was just wondering if there’s a setting with which I could change the narrow/wide candle switch behaviour? Perhaps the horizontal spacing between candles affects it?05/24/2024 at 12:17 PM #233000I can only see 2 days worth of data, instead of 3
Does viewing more Units solve the problem, so ‘instead of viewing 140 Units, view 210 units’?
Instead of viewing 2 days worth of units, change the Units setting to view 3 days?

I am sure there is no such setting.
Somebody might correct me, I don’t mind if they do as I will learn something also? 😉05/24/2024 at 1:27 PM #233011This may show the culprit :
1st pic, top one is V12, bottom one is V11. Both ate zoomed for showing the same time span. Both were originally loaded with 100 bars.
2nd pic show it some other way around : Both charts are zoomed just far enough that the bars sustain their color(-filled) width. Both clearly show different. Also, the empty space in the top one (V12) is larger. It thus consumes more space.
Would I know further zoom in the top one (V12) to show the same time span again, then we receive the 3rd pic.
Personally I can’t wrap my mind about this, but everybody claiming tiny small candles is now suddenly right. If you consider that both the first and the third situation try to compress as many readable bars in the given space, then it is clear V12 requires way more space. And, I did not notice that because I just make all equal in readable form. So my priority is readable for comparison. And not “the most shown” for time period.
So again, looking closely you can see that the top one (V12, blue) in the first pic shows more white space. This means that my V11 (bottom one, green) was set unnecessary wide in order to be compatible with the V12 version.Something else is that I seem to have noticed that at each restart of the platform another pixel is eaten somewhere. Forms less and less can contain their ever set content; I must make the forms wider and wider. But maybe I am dreaming this.
